Why is the heart health of children important?
We are at a time when children’s health should also be given importance. To prevent this, practicing heart-healthy habits at a young age will keep them energized throughout the day. Thus they get full sleep at night. Let the children run
Children should run and play. Get used to exercise even in your teens without being held in one place. Ride a bike, swim. Let them play outside. Control your gadgets
Excessive screen time coupled with a sedentary lifestyle and occasional snacking increases the risk of obesity and heart disease. Count TV, computer and phone time to two hours, even when entertaining children. Don’t give more than that.
Children calculate the amount of salt
Salt intake should be within limits for children too. Later it can increase the risk of heart disease. Salty and processed foods should be avoided. Most baby snacks today are salty foods. So it is best to avoid it.
Teach children healthy habits
When children come home from school, introduce whole-grain snacks such as lentils, vegetables, apples, fruits, yogurt, pulses, nuts, seeds, and dry fruits. Do not mix fruits with other fruits and give them only one fruit. It is better to avoid fruit juices, artificial sweeteners and sugary foods.
Don’t eat fried foods for kids
Don’t fry any vegetable or any food at home, not fried chicken bought outside. Oil, fat, salt etc. are always harmful to the body. And because they lack fiber, these foods are important in a heart-damaging diet.
Encourage children to cook
The only way children can develop interest and care for food is through their hands-on preparation of food items and food. Let the kids choose their favorite fruits and vegetables.
