Prime Minister Modi: On June 5, 1972, the United Nations Conference on Human Environment was held in Stockholm, Sweden. So in honor of this day, since 1973, the whole world has celebrated this World Environment Day.
Accordingly, Prime Minister Modi is celebrating this day in honor of Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi along with Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena.
Also, along with them, he planted a sapling and started a campaign called ‘Ek Pet Ma Ke Naam’ to create awareness. A video of him planting a sapling and watering it is currently going viral on the internet.
