Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, who recently won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, was reportedly slapped by a female CISF police officer after checking her at the security area of the Mohali International Airport.
The officer was suspended following the incident.
During the investigation, the constable said that Kangana Ranaut had made inappropriate comments against Punjabi women during the farmers’ protest.

Kangana Ranaut has said that she is going to file a complaint with the Home Ministry about this incident.

Later, speaking about the incident, actress Kangana Ranaut said that she was “abused and slapped on the face” by CISF personnel during the security check. Speaking to news agency ANI, she said, “I am getting a lot of phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. First, I’m safe, I’m fine. This incident happened today at Chandigarh airport. As soon as I got out of the security check, a CISF security guard came from my side and hit me in the face. , started abusing me. When I asked him why he did that, he said that he supports the farmers’ struggle, but I am worried about the growing extremism and extremism in Punjab.” He said that.
Meanwhile, Airport DSP Kuljinder Singh told The Indian Express that they have not received any complaint so far and the matter is currently being investigated by the CISF.
Commenting on the incident, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur said, “It is very unfortunate. No one has the right to harm anyone. Kangana Ranaut was on her way to Delhi to attend a party meeting. In fact, I will fly to Delhi in the evening to Chandigarh International Airport to attend the party meeting in the national capital.” He said that.
