65The Kinikathena police said that a van and a private bus collided head-on in the Tiyagala section of the Hatton Colombo main road.
Kinikathena Police Station Traffic Police further informed that this incident took place today (11) around 7.30 am.
A private bus traveling from Kandy to Hatton and a van traveling from Hatton to Kandy collided head on.
Kinigathena police said that two people who were traveling in the van suffered serious injuries and were admitted to the Kinigathena district hospital and the driver of the bus has been arrested.
Meanwhile, the bus and the van were heavily damaged and traffic on the Hatton-Colombo main road was blocked for a few hours due to the accident.
