Chennai : 4 people were killed when 3 vehicles collided on the national highway near Madhurantagam.
Four people were killed in a tragic accident in Palamathur area of Chengalpattu district this morning. A lorry carrying granite broke down on the national highway near Madhurandakam. Due to this, an Omni bus coming behind collided with a lorry and there was an early morning accident.
The omni bus hit the lorry and the government bus coming from behind also collided with the accident. The front half of the omni bus was crushed in the accident. Also, in this accident, 2 women and 2 men who were traveling in the omni bus were crushed to death on the spot.
It has been revealed that 3 of the 4 deceased are Thanalakshmi from Kodunkaiyur, Chennai and Rajesh and Praveen from Akili village. Also 20 people were injured in this accident. 20 injured people are undergoing treatment at Chengalpattu Government Hospital.
After the accident, the police and the ambulance were informed, and the police rushed to the spot and rescued the victims and sent them for treatment by ambulance. They are investigating the accident.
