Reduce sodium intake
You may even be a moderate salt eater. But other store-bought foods are high in sodium.
When sodium levels are high in the body, it turns into fluid and keeps the body and stomach bloated. If you want to reduce it, avoid foods high in sodium and eat foods low in sodium.
In particular, cheese, processed meats, popcorn, bread, and frozen foods should be avoided.
Drinking lots of water
Already the water weight is high. Wouldn’t it be more if you drink a lot of water? You may have doubts.
The cause of water weight is excess sodium in the blood, not the water we drink.
When you drink more water, it helps to flush sodium out of the body through the urine.
When detoxing like this, water weight will automatically decrease.
Good sleep
Good sleep is essential not only for weight loss but also for shedding excess water weight.
When you sleep well, the functioning of the nervous system is smooth. It helps keep water and sodium levels in the blood steady.
So it helps to keep the body hydrated without water retention.
Reduce carbohydrate intake
High intake of carbohydrate foods also increases water retention in the body.
When we eat carbohydrate foods it gets stored as glycogen molecules. Each gram of glycogen can absorb three grams of water.
If you want to reduce water weight, you need to reduce glycogen levels. It also requires reducing carbohydrate intake.
Reduce stress
No matter how strict diet and exercise you try to lose weight, you will not lose weight if you are stressed.
When stress is high, cortisol production increases, which interferes with kidney function. Therefore, water weight does not decrease without proper elimination of liquid waste.
So it is good to reduce stress. Doing yoga, meditation and doing things you like will give you good results.
