Bike theft funds friend’s wife’s cancer treatment; The thief who made Bengaluru resilient

A notorious thief in Bengaluru stole motorcycles to raise money for his cancer treatment to thank his friend’s wife for giving him a place to stay.

A motorbike thief identified as Ashok in Bengaluru, a fruit vendor locally known as Apple, started stealing to make quick money. Along with his accomplice Satish, Ashok was involved in several two-wheeler thefts across Bengaluru.

According to an Instagram post, Ashok, a seasoned criminal featured in rap sheeters who boasts of 15 cases, started stealing with his old tricks a month after getting out of jail in one case. A software engineer in Giri Nagar became his next target.

However, Ashok is immediately caught with the stolen motorcycle. Proved once again that some things just don’t change like this.

As mentioned in this post, during the interrogation by the police, Ashok revealed that there was an unexpected motive behind his crimes. He admitted that all the money he earned from stealing motorcycles was used for cancer treatment for his friend’s wife who was suffering from breast cancer.
