I Am A Woman was released in 1963 directed by A.C. Thirilokchandar. SS Rajendran, Vijayakumari, Rangarao, MR Radha, Nagesh and others acted in this film. The film was well received by the people. The songs also became hits.
Nagesh will play the role of Vijayakumari’s brother in this film. He will be happy. In an interview, he said that Nagesh acted in a serious scene in the main scene of the film. Vijayakumari’s marriage ends in that film. Manoramma, Vijayakumari and others were training to act in this scene.
I will come to the set then. After asking about the scene I went to Trilok sir and said I am Vijayakumari’s brother. I said I must act in that scene. Trilok sir refused and said that people will not accept if you are a comedian and act in this scene. He said to smile. No, I asked him to give me a chance and acted as myself without any dialogue.
Later, as soon as Thirulok said the cut, Nagesh said, all the cameramen on the set clapped their hands and applauded.
