YouTube has announced that it will give 45% of its ad revenue to short video creators.
Google-owned YouTube is set to introduce advertising in its growing segment of shorts. And on the shorts, the video creators will earn 45 percent.
Like TikTok, YouTube has released a way for creators to earn money by publishing short videos.
In 2020, YouTube attracted 1.5 billion monthly users by creating shorts videos and minute videos. Last April, YouTube set aside $100 million in funding to attract creators who make short videos.
YouTube is giving away a small percentage of its revenue to creators of shorts videos to promote the feature, Vice President Tara Walbert Levy said.
