English ivy
Called Hedera helix, it can grow like a vine. It is found indoors and outdoors under trees as ground cover. But it should not be kept indoors. These plants can sting and irritate. Consuming it unknowingly can cause discomfort. Excessive swelling can also cause severe swelling under the neck.
Lily
Lily is a beautiful flowing plant. It brings joy to the garden and home. But they should not be kept in a house where pets are kept. The leaves and flowers of the lily plant are poisonous, especially to cats. These reactions can cause vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite. It can even lead to death if not treated.
Pothos

Its leaves are spread out like an elephant’s ear. Its leaves are shaped like arrows, hearts or spears. It comes in different colors like pink, red, white and green. However, these are among the most dangerous houseplants. It irritates the mucous membranes in the mouth, nose, throat and stomach. This can cause vomiting and nausea
Aloe vera
Aloe vera is a popular houseplant. It helps heal skin affected by psoriasis. Reduces skin inflammation. They contain chemical molecules with anti-inflammatory properties. They are also used as a body cleanser. But this should be avoided in a house with pets. Ingestion of aloe leaves by dogs and cats can cause vomiting, lethargy, and diarrhea.
Azalea Azalea
A popular choice for decorating gardens around the house. These beautiful flowers are eye-catching. Eating a small piece of this plant can cause severe poisoning. Milder symptoms such as mouth irritation, nausea and vomiting are also common. However, swallowing these plants, picking leaves and flowers can be life-threatening.
Rubber tree
The sap produced by these common houseplants can irritate the tongue, throat, and skin when ingested. Ingestion of any of these extracts can cause weakness. Animals show signs of loss of appetite, salivation, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Holly
This type of plant has thorny leaves and small red fruits. This plant part is not harmful. But the berry is poisonous. Even small amounts can induce vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration and insomnia.
