Police have identified Sudha, a technical woman who jumped to her death from the Velachery flyover due to marital problems.
Sudha (30) and Karthik (33) from Sembak near Tambaram were married four years ago. Both of them are working as software professionals. The couple has a three-year-old son.
Recently, differences of opinion have arisen between the two. On March 23, Karthik decided to divorce. Knowing this, Sudha sought the help of her mother-in-law and tried to reconcile. However, Karthik was determined to end their relationship.
In this case, at 12.15 midnight on Saturday, Sudha went from Taramani to Velachery flyover by bike. After stopping the bike, he climbed the flyover wall and jumped. The audience is shocked to see Sudha jump.
Later, they found him lying in a pool of blood and took him to the nearest hospital. Doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Sudha was said to be depressed over her husband’s divorce decision. The police also said that they searched for suicide instructions online.
The Velachery police registered a case and seized the body and sent it to the government hospital for postmortem.
