- White chickpeas = 250 grams
- Cloves=2
- Cardamom = one
- Bar = one
- Turmeric powder= 1/2 spoon
- Mustard= half spoon
- Uludu = half spoon
- Chickpeas = one spoon

- Green chillies=5
- Oil = four spoons
- Ginger = a piece
- Apricot = quarter spoon
- Chilli powder= half spoon
- Curry spice powder= one spoon
- Coconut = half covered (grated)
- Cumin = half spoon
- Coriander = a handful size.

Soak the sundae for eight hours and add it to the cooker. Add little salt and cardamom bark and cloves to it and keep aside for four whistles. Pour four spoons of oil in a pan and season with mustard seeds, gram flour and chickpeas.
Add onions and green chillies and saute. After the onion becomes glassy, add turmeric powder, chili powder, curry masala powder and mix and add ginger. Now add half a tumbler of water and mix and keep it boiling. After two minutes add the boiled sundae and stir.
Stir till it gets mixed with the masala and add half a cup of grated coconut to it and add half a spoon of cumin seeds and coriander leaves and mix it and leave it for a delicious sundal masala. It is good to give it as a nutritious evening meal to children.
