To celebrate 30 years of India’s best-selling 100cc commuter bike, Splendor, Hero has launched a new model, ‘Splendor+ XTEC 2.0’. There are no mechanical changes or new features. But the exterior has been unveiled with a new dual-tone color, the new Splendor+ XTEC 2.0.
Splendor+ XTEC 2.0: Engine
The new model is powered by the same air-cooled 97.2 cc engine found in all other Splendor models, churning out 8.02 hp of power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Hero has claimed that this bike will give a mileage of 73 kmpl. The bike uses i3S start-stop technology for extra mileage.
Splendor+ XTEC 2.0: Features
The XTEC variant of the Splendor also comes with some tech features that other 100cc commuter bikes don’t. While the other standard Splendor variants get an analogue speedometer, the XTEC 2.0 model gets a digital display with Bluetooth support. Through this we can know the call and SMS alerts through the display. Also, it is noteworthy that this bike is also provided with a USB charging port.
Splendor+ XTEC 2.0: Price
The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 model has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 82,911, Rs 3,000 more than the standard Splendor+ XTEC model. The Splendor+ XTEC 2.0 will compete with Honda Shine 100 and Bajaj Platina 100 in India. It is noteworthy that Hero Company sold 3,21,000 Splendor bikes in India last April alone.
