Yam fry recipe– In this post, you can see how to roast sweet potato with a different taste.

- Yam = 300 grams
- Anise = 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste = one spoon
- Bar = half an inch
- Clove=1
- Onions = two
- Tomatoes = one
- Poppy = a spoon
- Chilli powder = one spoon
- Cumin powder = half spoon
- Oil = as required

Clean the sweet potato and chop it into small pieces. Apply a little oil on your hands to prevent them from getting irritated and then clean them. Now chop the yam, wash it well and put it in another vessel, pour water till the yam sinks, add a little salt, a spoonful of turmeric powder, a little tamarind solution and boil it at 50 percent.
Now pour required amount of oil for frying and fry the boiled yam until golden brown. Then pour four spoons of oil in another pan and add one spoon of aniseed, a little bit of caraway leaves, ginger garlic paste, season it and saute it along with onions. After the onions are fried, add the tomatoes and fry them till they are cooked well and mix with the chili powder and cumin powder.
Now add the roasted sweet potato. Then add coconut, a spoonful of aniseed bark, cloves and poppy seeds in the mixer and grind it along with the sweet potato and add required amount of salt and cover and boil for two minutes. Stir after two minutes and the crispy sweet potato fry is ready.
