Hyundai sold 1 lakh Creta cars in 6 months!

The updated Creta SUV model released by Hyundai in January this year has set a new record by selling 1 lakh units in 6 months. Hyundai has officially announced this. Also, since its launch in 2015, Hyundai has reported that it has sold over 10 lakh Creta cars.

Being sold in the mid-size SUV segment, the Creta model is a car that is very popular and preferred by customers not only for its comfort but also for its safety features. The Hyundai Creta has received a 4-star rating for adult safety and a 3-star rating for child safety in the Global NCAP safety rating system.

Various premium features like twin digital display for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, ventilated seats, air purifier, Bose sound system and connected car tech. The Hyundai Creta also has amenities.

Apart from this, Hyundai has given safety features like level 2 ADAS, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, all wheel disc brake, 3 point seat belt with reminder for all passengers, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring system as standard in all variants.

Hyundai has offered three engine options for this mid-size SUV, namely a 1.5-litre NA petrol that produces 115hp and 144Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre turbo diesel that produces 116hp and 250Nm of torque, and a turbo petrol that produces 160hp and 253Nm of torque. Along with this, the company has also given the gearbox options of 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed CVT automatic, 6-speed automatic and 6-speed dual clutch automatic.

The Creta SUV is being sold in India at ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs.11 lakh to Rs.20.15 lakh.
