Recently, foreign employment scams and entry visa scams are increasing in Jaffna. It has been observed that people from foreign countries are more involved in such scams.

Foreigners target rural youth and engage in money laundering of 30 to 40 lakh rupees by claiming that they will get job opportunities in countries like Canada and Australia.

Unaware of their scam, innocent youngsters believe their fake promises and lose money.

A large number of complaints in this regard have been registered at the Jaffna and Savagacherry police stations.

Therefore, it is necessary to be careful and vigilant about these frauds.
