Northern Province Governor Ms. B.S.M. Charles started the book festival. This book exhibition and sale will be held from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm daily till the 11th.
Organized by the Jaffna Industry Forum, more than twenty bookstores, publishing houses and bookish organizations participate in this book festival.
Books published not only from Sri Lanka but also from different countries of the world will be sold in this exhibition.
4 Jaffna Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes the Jaffna Book Festival to promote reading in our society, bring out writers and create a platform for writers and readers to meet. Apart from that, the Jaffna International Book Festival will be held every year from now on.
The highlight here is that books for all groups such as children, boys, school students, university students, teachers and the elderly are displayed here.
