Kanimozhi has been leading in Tuticorin Lok Sabha constituency since the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha election started. DMK-Will secured the first victory.
Sitting MP Kanimozhi, who contested for the 2nd time in Tuticorin Lok Sabha constituency, won by a margin of 3,92,738 votes while leading DMK candidates.
DMK candidate Kanimozhi won by a margin of 3,92,738 votes by getting 5,40,729 votes in Thoothukudi Lok Sabha constituency. Kanimozhi secured 55% of the total votes cast in Thoothukudi.
In Thoothukudi Lok Sabha constituency, ADMK candidate Sivasamy Velumani, who contested against him, secured 1,47,991 votes and secured the 2nd position. He got only 15.12% votes.
DMK candidate Vijayseelan SDR secured 1,22,380 votes and secured the 3rd position. TDP got only 12.51% votes.
After this, Naam Tamil Party candidate Rowena Ruth Jain secured 1,20,300 seats and secured the 4th position. He got only 12.29% votes.
