A special train stop facility to maintain power lines at Karaikudi railway station will be established on Sunday (May 19).
Separate railway line
For this, a separate railway line will be constructed and the work will be done to connect it with the existing railway lines. Due to this there has been a slight change in the train traffic.
Change in rail traffic
Rameswaram – Bhubaneswar train (20895) will be diverted via Manamadurai, Madurai, Dindigul instead of Karaikudi on Sunday.
Tiruvarur – Karaikudi Train
Also on that day, Tiruvarur – Karaikudi train (06197) will be operated up to Periya Kotdi and Trichy – Karaikudi – Trichy trains (06829/06126) will be operated only up to Chettinad railway station.
Trains cancelled
Karaikudi – Trichy – Karaikudi trains (06830/06125) and Trichy – Rameswaram – Trichy trains (16849/16850) will be completely canceled on that day.
On that day, Karaikudi – Tiruvarur train (06198) will leave Karaikudi at 6 pm instead of departing Karaikudi at 7 pm by one hour.
