required things:
- Algae = 75 grams
- Turmeric powder= quarter spoon
- Potatoes = 3
- Green chillies = four
Ingredients for seasoning
- Oil = two spoons
- Anise = half spoon
- Band = 2
- Cloves=4
- Onions =2
- Tomatoes = one
Ingredients for Grinding
- Coconut = one lid size
- Poppy = a spoon
- Peanuts = one spoon
- Green chillies = five
- Ginger = one inch
- Garlic = 4 cloves
- Lemon= one spoon
Recipe:
First fry the dal until golden and wash it and put it in the cooker, add a little water and green chillies, turmeric powder and potatoes and leave for two whistles and keep only the potatoes separately. Mash the dal well. Add curry leaves and saute it with onions.
Once the onions are fried, add the tomatoes and fry them. Now add coconut, poppy seeds, groundnuts, 5 green chillies, ginger and garlic to the mixer and grind them well and stir them along with the fried tomatoes. Add the mashed dal and a little water and salt and mix. (Do not add too much water to the kadappa and it should not be too thick).
Now add chopped potatoes to it and boil it for ten minutes. Mix in between. Finally add lemon juice and switch off the stove. Now sprinkle coriander leaves and Kumbakonam Special Kadapa is ready.
