Maruthodai Gandaswamy Temple, which sits in Omanthai Maruthodai area of Vavuniya district and blesses the people, is now being reconstructed after the war and Mahakumbabhishekam is taking place.
Kumbabhishekam’s oil protection sathum event was held today (08).
A large number of devotees from the northern region including Vavuniya participated in this event.
As a temple with a long ancient history, it is seen as a resting place for Muruga devotees going on the Kathirgam Padayatra and the miraculous temple with many innovations will be renovated in a special way and Kumbabishekam will be held.
Yesterday (07) Karmaramba activities took place and today the event of oil protection sathum will take place and tomorrow (09) Kumbabhishekam will be held.
It is noteworthy that Mandala Abhishekam will be held for 15 consecutive days.
