MG’s compact hatchback electric car, Comet EV, is available in five variants namely Executive, Exide, Exide FC, Exclusive and Exclusive FC.

There is no change in the prices of the entry-level variants Executive and Exide.

The price of the intermediate variant, Excite FC, has been hiked by Rs 11,000. Following this price hike, the variant will be priced at Rs 8.45 lakh ex-showroom.

Likewise, the prices of the top-end variants Exclusive and Exclusive FC have also been hiked by Rs 12,000 and Rs 13,000 respectively.

Following this price hike, the aforementioned two variants will be priced at Rs 9 lakh and Rs 9.37 lakh ex-showroom respectively.

The Comet EV’s 100th Anniversary Limited Edition model remains unchanged at Rs 9.40 lakh ex-showroom.

MG has provided a 17.3kWh battery in this small Comet electric car that can seat four people.

Designed keeping the city users in mind, this compact electric car is powered by an electric motor that produces 42hp of power and 110Nm of torque.

MG’s compact electric car has a range of up to 230 km on a single charge.

This electric car has no direct competitors. Also, this car is being sold as an alternative to Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.

MG ZS EV: Price hike

MG has also not made any changes to the prices of the base variants of MG’s premium ZS EV, namely the Executive and Exide Pro variants.

These variants will continue to be priced at Rs 18.98 lakh and Rs 19.98 lakh ex-showroom.

MG has increased the price of the top-end Exclusive Plus and Essence variants by Rs 25,000 in this model as well.

Following this price hike, the above two top-end variants will be priced at Rs 24.23 lakh and Rs 25.23 lakh ex-showroom.

MG has also hiked the price of the dual-tone versions of the exclusive Plus and Essens variants by Rs 24,000. Hence, henceforth those variants will be priced at Rs 24.44 lakh and Rs 25.44 lakh ex-showroom.

Notably, the price of the MG ZS EV’s 100th Anniversary Limited Edition model remains unchanged at Rs 24.18 lakh ex-showroom.

MG ZS EV: Features

MG has provided a 50.3kWh battery pack in this premium ZS EV model. With this battery pack, the ZS EV offers a range of up to 461 km on a single charge.

Also, MG Motor has given this car an electric motor that can produce 177hp of power and 280Nm of torque.

The MG ZS EV is being marketed as a rival to the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric and the BYD Atto 3.
