Modi In Russia Modi – Putin meeting: What agreements have been signed?

An annual summit is held between India and Russia. Prime Minister Modi left for Russia yesterday on a two-day trip to attend a conference to be held in the Russian capital Moscow this year.

PM Modi received a warm welcome on the Moscow flight. After that he went to Nova-Okaryovo to Putin’s farm house located there. President Putin welcomed Modi there.

Putin congratulated Modi on his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India. Russian President Putin praised Modi saying that he has dedicated his entire life to the people of India.

Before this, Modi attended the summit held in Russia in 2019. Putin attended the conference held in Delhi in 2021. 2022 and 2023 India-Russia Summit will not be held.

PM Modi has visited Russia for the first time since the start of Russia-Ukraine war. Hence this journey is considered significant. During this visit, Prime Minister Modi and Russian President Putin will discuss the regional and international situation.

Speaking about Modi’s visit to Russia, Indian Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar said that four things will be the main focus of this visit: trade, economy, investment-based cooperation and communication.

It is said that the existing agreements will be extended to strengthen both sides. New contracts are signed. There is a trade imbalance between the two countries. Negotiations will be held to rectify this.
