Delhi: The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won a majority of seats in the Lok Sabha elections and took power. Following this, the BJP leaders consulted with the alliance party leaders and confirmed the alliance.
Following this, important leaders including MPs from the NDA alliance, Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu, United Janata Dal Party leader Nitish Kumar have attended.
This consultative meeting is being held today in the old parliament building in Delhi. Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Natta, Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, Kumaraswamy and others were sitting on the stage. Everyone stood up to welcome Prime Minister Modi on his arrival on the stage. The consultation meeting began in the presence of NDA MPs.
In this consultative meeting, a decision to declare Prime Minister Modi as the Prime Minister will be passed unanimously. Next, it is said that the cabinet departments for the coalition parties will be discussed.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the BJP is planning to give Panchayat and Rural Development portfolios to Nitish Kumar’s party, Aviation, Metals and Deputy Speaker post to Chandrababu’s party, and alliance parties may be appointed as state in-charges in important ministries like finance and defence.
