Chess : It has been announced that this year’s World Chess Championship will be held in Singapore. Accordingly, FIDE announced today that the World Chess Championship between Gukesh and Ding Liran will be held in Singapore from November to December this year.

In this world championship, 18-year-old Gukesh from India is competing with current world champion Ding Liren of China for a chance to become the youngest world champion. The World Chess Championship will be held from November 20 to December 15.

Many countries around the world submitted applications to host this World Chess Championship. India Chess Federation also tried to conduct it in Gujarat, Delhi and Chennai in India. After that recently the Tamil Nadu government also tried to hold the world chess championship by itself.

However, FIDE has now announced that the World Chess Championship will be held in Singapore. It is noteworthy that the world championship was held in Chennai in 2013 between Vishwanath Anandam from Tamil Nadu and Magnus Carlsen from Norway. It is also noteworthy that Magnus Carlsen won the match by defeating Anand.
