The Department of Meteorology has predicted that there is a possibility of occasional rain or thundershowers in the Upper, Sabaragamuwa, Central, South and North-West provinces of the country today (05).
Other parts of the country are likely to experience rain or thundershowers in the evening or night at many places.
Temporarily gusty winds may also occur in those areas during periods of thundershowers.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize the damage caused by lightning strikes.
