Ola CEO Pavish Agarwal has shared a photo on his X page. If you look closely it looks like an electric bike battery. Although Pavish did not share anything about the photo, everyone is expecting it to be Ola’s new bike. If we take a closer look at the photo, we can also confirm that it is an electric bike.
Ola’s New Electric Bike:
So far no mainstream companies have ventured into electric bike manufacturing. All the companies are trying to make electric scooter sales fair. However, Ola has already taken the top 10 position in Indian two-wheeler sales. Yes, Ola topped the list of best-selling two-wheelers last June, selling 36,000 S1 electric scooters.
Now the company seems to be moving towards the next step. The company’s CEO Pavish Aggarwal had already introduced four concept bike designs last year. He had launched four bike models namely Ola Cruiser, Ola Adventurer, Ola Roadster and Ola Diamondhead.
New electric bike coming out?
Now Ola’s CEO has shared a photo of the new electric bike’s battery which is seen as a sign that the bike could be launched soon. The photo he shared shows a large battery mounted inside a tubular frame. We can see the seat of the bike starting from the top of that frame. Below, we can also see the foot peg. So, without a doubt, this is Ola’s new electric bike.
When can we expect the launch of this bike?
Presently, Pavish Agarwal has only shared a photo. No release information available. However, it is Ola’s practice to release major releases and announcements on August 15th every year as Independence Day.
Pavish Agarwal posted this photo with just a few weeks left for Independence Day. So, on Independence Day, it is expected that there will be an announcement about the launch of Ola’s new bike or even a new electric bike.
Ola leads electric scooter sales:
In India, the subsidy given by central and state governments for electric vehicles is decreasing year by year. While all the other electric scooter manufacturers have been increasing the prices of the scooters they sell, Ola has not hiked the prices that much.
The company is currently selling their electric scooters at prices ranging from Rs.74,999 to Rs.1.29 lakh. This is what attracts customers towards the company’s electric scooters. Let’s wait and see what plans Ola has for selling electric bikes.
