2024 Lok Sabha election Voting has been done and now the day has come for the declaration of election results. All the voters are eagerly waiting to know about the election results. Expectations are high as to who will reap the fruits of victory from their constituencies. The result will be known shortly. Counting of votes is about to begin.
Pollachi, a water town, is blessed with coolness, water resources and the character of the people living there. The Pollachi Lok Sabha constituency is the 21st out of 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Pollachi Lok Sabha Constituency consists of six assembly constituencies namely Thondamuthur, Kinathukkadavu, Pollachi, Valparai (separate), Udumalaipettai and Madathikulam. In the last 17th Lok Sabha election held in 2019, DMK’s K. Shanmukha Sundaram won by securing a total of 5,54,230 votes with 51.20 percent. AIADMK’s Mahendran came second with 3,78,347 votes. He was followed by R. Mookambikai of Makkal Neeti Maiyam who got 59,693 votes.
Pollachi Lok Sabha seat in Kongu region was AIADMK’s stronghold. But in the last 2019 election, DMK defeated it and won. There are four main candidates in Pollachi constituency in this year’s elections. Ishwara Swamy on behalf of DMK, Karthikeyan on behalf of ADMK, Vasantarajan on behalf of BJP and Dr. Suresh Kumar on behalf of Marrum Nataka have contested.
In this election, there will be a tough competition between DMK and AIADMK parties. However, they say that the DMK’s hand will be higher. According to a poll conducted on behalf of Tandhi TV, the DMK will get 37 percent of the votes, the AIADMK will get 34 percent of the votes, and the BJP will get 22 percent of the votes. Who wins?
