President Ranil Wickremesinghe participated in the Housing and Construction International Expo 2024, Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall premises yesterday (10). This year’s exhibition, themed “We will Build Sri Lanka” to rejuvenate the Construction Industry and country’s economy. For the first time they will host a dedicated Chinese pavilion and 300 stalls representing major companies in the country’s construction sector will also be represented at this expo.
The event will run until May 12th with several novel features.
During his visit, the President toured domestic and international trade stalls, as well as those showcasing the Armed Forces’ contributions. Additionally, he joined the exhibition organizers for a group photograph. Chartered Architect Jayantha Perera, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Construction Industry Board, and Engineer Nishanka N. Wijeratne, General Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, were among the dignitaries present.
