Commercial Branch of Madurai Division of Southern Railway has invited applications for ATMM (Automated Ticket Vending Machine) Assistants for selling and issuing unreserved tickets in trains.

According to a press release received on 27 May 2024 from Madurai Division of Southern Railway, ATMV (Automated Ticket Vending Machine) Assistants will be appointed at eight railway stations including Madurai Junction, Tirunelveli Junction, Tiruchendur, Thoothukudi, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, Pudunayakanur.
They have to issue unreserved tickets to railway passengers. Also, the tenure of the ATVM assistants will be one year and they will get three percent of the total ticket sales as commission, the press release said.
For the convenience of passengers, Southern Railway plans to install 254 additional Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) on six lines, including three machines at Mangaluru Central railway station in coastal Karnataka, which falls under the Palakkad division. .
It is noteworthy that 96 ATVMs are available for Chennai division, 12 for Trichy, 46 for Madurai, 50 for Thiruvananthapuram, 38 for Palakkad and 12 additional machines for Salem division.
