Nepal: Sandeep Lamichhen was the captain of the Nepal cricket team. He has played 30 ODIs and 44 T20Is so far in IPL. He also became the first Nepali player to participate in the series. Sandeep last played for Jamaica Talawas in the Caribbean Premier League.

In this case, a 17-year-old girl had filed a sexual assault complaint against Sandeep Lamichhen. In the complaint, she had alleged that Sandeep had sexually harassed her on August 21 last year at a hotel in Kathmandu. In this regard, a case was registered against Sandeep Lamichhen and an investigation was held.

In this case, Sandeep Lamichane was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the Kathmandu court. The Nepal Cricket Board also suspended Sandeep Lamichane. Sandeep Lamichhen appealed against the jail sentence imposed by the court.

In this case, the hearing on this petition was held today (Wednesday) in the Pathan Supreme Court. He was acquitted in this trial and acquitted. And the 8 years imprisonment awarded to him has also been cancelled.

In this case, even though the Nepal team for the T20 World Cup has already been announced, there is a possibility of Sandeep appearing in the team as the team can be changed till May 25.
