We know that the mindset of Indian car customers has shifted from sedans to SUVs over the past few years. Indian roads can be mentioned as one of the main reasons for this. Along with potholes here and there, we also have to cross speed bumps that exceed the norms at some places. In such cases the bottom of sedans with low ground clearance will take a lot of beating.
To avoid that, car customers started moving towards SUVs with higher ground clearance. Let’s take a look at the SUVs with the highest ground clearance under Rs 10 lakh in India right now.
Tata Nexon:
The Tata Nexon is currently being sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.80 lakh. The car has a maximum ground clearance of around 208 mm. It handles bumpy roads and slightly higher speed bumps very well.
Kia Sonet:
The South Korean carmaker Kia’s Sonet SUV is priced between Rs 7.99 lakh and Rs 15.75 lakh. This model has a ground clearance of 205 mm.
Renault Kaiger:
The Renault Kaiger SUV is being sold at a price between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 11.23 lakh. To tackle bumpy roads, this SUV model is also given a ground clearance of 205 mm.
Nissan Magnite:
The Nissan MagNite is priced almost the same as the Kaikar at an ex-showroom price of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 11.27 lakh. This car also has a ground clearance of 205 mm.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza:
Maruti is the only SUV in this list. It is being sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.34 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh. Maruti has given 200mm ground clearance in this SUV model.
