Tamil Nadu will experience heat reduction from June 2: Weatherman

The India Meteorological Department has said that favorable conditions are developing for the onset of monsoon in Kerala in the next 24 hours and monsoon will also begin in some parts of the northeastern states.

Also, conditions are likely for Southwest Monsoon to advance over additional parts of South Arabian Sea, Maldives and Comoros region, parts of Lakshadweep region and southwest and central regions, India Meteorological Department said.

Subsequently, a zone of subtropical levels has formed over southern peninsular India. Due to this, strong westerly winds are also blowing on Kerala coast. As a result, thundershowers and lightning are likely over Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Also, scattered light to moderate rains with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are expected. Widespread light to moderate rain is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Karnataka.

Also, heavy rainfall is forecast over Kerala and Mahe for the next five days, Andaman and Nicobar Islands from May 31 to June 2, and Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka on June 1 and 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, Pradeep John said, “The heat will reduce in Tamil Nadu after June 2”. Regarding this, he said on Facebook, “The heat has been increasing in Meenambakkam and Nungambakkam for the past few days. The temperature will decrease from June 2. Massive Damal Dumeel is expected soon in North Tamil Nadu from June 1 onwards. So the heat will remain till June 1.
