Semalayappan, a native of Kangeyam, used to work as a private school bus driver in Vellakovil area near Kangeyam in Tirupur district.

Semaliyappan had a heart attack
It is said that Semaliyappan suddenly suffered a heart attack while he was passing the bus from the school premises to take school children from the private school home after school the day before yesterday.

He parked the vehicle on the side of the road

A private school bus driver who had a sudden heart attack, considering the lives of 20 children in his vehicle, immediately saved the vehicle and skillfully stopped the vehicle on the side of the road without causing an accident.

20 children
Following this, he tragically died in the vehicle he was in. This made everyone present sad. All the people are condoling the incident which could have saved the lives of around 20 children who were in the school bus by stopping the vehicle by acting quickly.

5 lakh rupees fund
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin condoled the death of Shemalaiyappan who saved the lives of Pinchu children. Subsequently, he had announced that he would give Rs 5 lakh to the driver of the private school, Semalayappan, who died.

Delivery of cheque
In this case Tirupur District Collector Christraj and Information and Publicity Minister M.B. Saminathan arrived in person at Satya Nagar near Gangeyam this morning and handed over the check for Rs 5 lakh to Semaliyappan, his parents Subpan and Kaveri and sons. Tirupur South District Secretary Padmanabhan and DMK officials also attended the event.
