The new Mini Countryman Electric was launched at Rs 54.90 lakh

Mini has launched the new Countryman electric luxury car model in India. Mini sells both Countryman Electric and Countryman petrol models globally. However, only the Countryman electric model has been released in India. The Countryman Electric uses the same platform as the BMW iX1. But the Countryman Electric will also be sold in India as a competitor to the same BMW iX1 model.

Mini Countryman Electric Design:

The design of the new Countryman Electric model is an improved design of the previous generation Countryman models. But also very minimalistic and simple. The new Countryman Electric gets a new octagonal grille, redesigned bezel-less headlamps and new tail lamps similar to those found on the Cooper S model. Sporting dual-tone colors, the electric car gets 17-inch to 19-inch wheels.

Mini Countryman Electric Features:

The interior is also minimalistic as seen in the Cooper S model. The same 9.4 inch touchscreen that is given in it is also given in this Countryman Electric model. There is no instrument cluster behind the three-spoke steering wheel.

Most of the features in the car are designed to be accessed through the touchscreen. Both come with standard ADAS features, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and traction control.

Mini Countryman Electric Powertrain:

This electric luxury car is powered by a single electric motor capable of producing 204hp of power and 250Nm of torque with front wheel drive. With the help of this electric motor, the Countryman Electric reaches 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds. Also, this car has a top speed of 170 kmph.

Notably, Mini is also selling the Countryman Electric variant globally with a dual motor setup and all-wheel drive that can churn out 313hp of power.

Mini Countryman Electric Battery:

The same 66.4kWh battery used in the BMW iX1 electric car is also used in the Countryman electric model. With the help of this battery, you can travel 462 km on a single charge. The battery is fully charged in 3 hours 45 minutes when charged with standard 22kW AC charging. At the same time, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes if charged with a 130kW DC fast charger.

Mini Countryman Electric Price and Competitors:

Mini has launched the Countryman luxury electric car in India as a single variant at an ex-showroom price of Rs 54.90 lakh. Mini has launched the Countryman electric model to compete with BMW iX1, Mercedes-Benz EQA, Volvo XC40 Recharge and Volvo C40 Recharge which are already on sale in India.
