But due to some reasons including his advanced age and health, he stayed away from the election. He also proposed Kamala Harris, who is the current vice chancellor, as the presidential candidate.
Following that, Kamala Harris also set a record by raising a total of $81 million from multiple donors in 24 hours. This is Rs 677 crore in Indian value alone. Also, some support for him is also increasing. In this case, President Joe Biden spoke yesterday for the first time from the White House about the reason for withdrawing from the election.
In which he said, “I have decided that the best way is to give the younger generation a chance. And this is the right way to unite our country. Now democracy is under threat again. I have withdrawn from the presidential election to protect our democracy.
This decision has been taken for the benefit of our country. I value this position very much, but more than that I love my country. Given my accomplishments as President and my vision for the future of America, I am well qualified to serve a second term.
But above all else, preserving democracy is more important. Also, it makes me happy to work for the American people. But now the responsibility to protect the country and the country’s democracy rests with the American people,” Joe Biden said.
