Covering an area of 75 thousand square meters, the new integrated passenger terminal building has a green rating for integrated habitat assessment, a four-star sustainability rating and state-of-the-art facilities designed to serve 4.5 million passengers annually. Recently, photos related to the airport went viral on social media.
Exclusive design
Special finishes include a parametric and curved roof inspired by the local architecture of the “gopuram”. Roof shelter colors are reported to be decorative zinc titanium cladding inspired by local architecture. The Loung’s interior and artwork are specially designed in keeping with the local temple architectural traditions and cultural taste.
Roof in many colors
The roof is designed in multiple colors to give an aesthetic look to the building. The roof is designed to resemble the colors of the Srirangam Gopuram.
Successfully delivered
The floor patterns in the interiors have the traditional kolam pattern as a welcome symbol. Egis successfully delivered Trichy International Airport when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the integrated passenger terminal building at Trichy Airport in January this year.
