India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has launched operations in Italy as part of its global expansion plan. TVS is going to sell its two-wheelers in Italy through its newly established subsidiary TVS Motor Italia in Italy.
TVS is selling two-wheelers in more than 80 countries worldwide. Despite selling vehicles in various countries around the world, TVS had not set foot in Europe until a few years ago. However, TVS, which set foot in Turkey in 2023, sold up to 40,000 vehicles in the first year itself. Following this, last November, TVS signed an agreement with Emil Frey Group, an automobile sales company based in Zurich, Europe, to sell their two-wheelers in Western Europe.
Now following that, the company has entered the field directly through their branch company in Italy. TVS is planning to sell the Endark, Jupiter 125 and iQube scooters that have been well received by customers in India and the Apache 310 series of bikes developed in collaboration with BMW Motorrad in Italy. Apart from this, there are some mountain and city electric bikes in TVS’ Italian portfolio.
Not only did it set foot in Europe last year, it is noteworthy that TVS Company acquired Britain’s Norton Motorcycles in 2020. TVS is reportedly working on a new line-up for Norton. Expect new bikes under the Norton corporate branding over the next couple of years. TVS launched some new variants of their iQube electric scooter in India just a few days ago.
