World leaders including China, Italy, Nepal, Sri Lanka congratulate PM Modi

World leaders have congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has won the Lok Sabha elections for the 3rd time in a row.

The BJP alliance has won the Lok Sabha elections for the 3rd time. However, the BJP did not get an absolute majority. BJP is planning to form a coalition government with parties including Telugu Desam and United Janata Dal. Narendra Modi is about to take office for the 3rd term.

In this case, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni X said on social media, “Congratulations to Narendra Modi who has won the election. It is certain that we will continue to work together for the benefit of the people of both countries to strengthen the friendship that connects Italy and India and to strengthen cooperation on various issues that bind us.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s congratulatory message said, “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance for winning the Indian parliamentary elections. This victory shows the confidence among the people that the country is progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a very close neighbour, Sri Lanka is keen to further strengthen its partnership with India,” he said.

President of Maldives: In a message issued by the President of Maldives, Mohammed Muisu, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led coalition that has won the general elections in India for the third time in a row. I am eager to work with India for the benefit of the people of both our countries,” he said.

Willingness to work together: Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular press conference, “Congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on his victory in the parliamentary elections. China is ready to work with India for the benefit of both countries and people and to improve the relationship between the two countries,” he said.

Similarly, world leaders including Nepal Prime Minister Prasanda and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnath have congratulated Prime Minister Modi.
