Peace activities were held yesterday evening ahead of the flag hoisting. After the early morning puja services today, the flag hoisting ceremony was held in the afternoon.
Makotsava festivals will be held for 15 consecutive days. The Chariot Festival will be held on Thursday morning on the 20th and the Thirtha Festival will be held on Friday (21) in the evening and the Makotsava Festivals will conclude with flag hoisting.
For the benefit of the devotees going to the temple, this time too there will be special bus services between Jaffna – Kurikattuwan and special boat services between Kurikattuwan – Nainadivu.
Also, alms will be offered to devotees at Amudasurabi Annadhana Math. It has been announced that the volunteers of the Scouts, Sen John Ambulance, Sensiluvai Sangam People’s Welfare Association and others will be involved in the services for the welfare of the devotees in the temple environment.
