In the recent elections in Tamil Nadu, the DMK has contested alone in 21 constituencies and won overwhelmingly. The 18th Lok Sabha elections were held in seven phases and the election results were announced on June 4.
The Lok Sabha elections were held in a total of 40 constituencies including 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and one constituency in Puducherry.
The DMK alliance has achieved a resounding victory in 40 constituencies including Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. After 20 years in Tamil Nadu, the DMK alliance has won all 39 constituencies.
Tuticorin Lok Sabha Module:
In Thoothukudi Lok Sabha constituency Kanimozhi contested from DMK, Sivamani Velu from AIADMK, Vijaya Seelan from Tamaga Party and Raveena Ruth Jain from Naam Tamilar Party.
Kanimozhi contested on behalf of DMK and won by securing 5,40,729 votes
Tenkasi Lok Sabha Module:
Rani Sri Kumar from DMK, Krishnasamy from AIADMK, John Pandian from Bharatiya Janata Party and Ishai Madhivanan from Nam Tamil Party participated in the Lok Sabha elections.
Honey Lok Sabha Module:
Thanga Tamilchelvan from DMK, Dhinakaran from Amamukha Party, Narayanasamy from ADMK Party and Madan from Naam Tamilar Party contested in Theni Lok Sabha constituency.
Thanga Tamilchelvan who contested on behalf of DMK won by getting 5,71,493 votes.
