The post-mortem report of the female practicing doctor in Kolkata has been released. It has been stated that he died of suffocation due to hand strangulation and there were 9 internal injuries and 16 external injuries.
A female trainee doctor who was on duty on the night of last 8th at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal state, was found dead the next day. She was allegedly sexually assaulted and brutally murdered.
Sanjay Roy, who worked as a volunteer in the hospital complex, was arrested in this connection. Doctors are protesting all over the country insisting that some more people are involved in this matter and strict action should be taken against them.
In this case, the post-mortem report of the female practicing doctor has been released. The information given in it is shocking.

Postmortem was conducted on the 9th from 6.10 to 7.10 pm. Due to manual strangulation, death occurred due to suffocation. This is murder. There is medical evidence that sexual assault also took place. A sample of 151 grams of genital fluid and blood has been sent for testing.
No fracture occurred. Hemorrhage has occurred in the lungs. Blood clots in the body. There were injuries in 16 places on the outer part of the body like chin, lip, nose, neck and hands and 9 places on the inner part like neck muscle and scalp. By this, it is said that he is fighting hard against the sexual violence against him.
Apoorva Biswa, Associate Professor Rina Das, Associate Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, RG Garh Hospital, Molly Banerjee, Associate Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, NRS Medical College have signed the post-mortem report.
The police have said that the blood sample from the fingernail of the slain female doctor and the blood sample of the arrested Sanjay Roy are identical. Thus, Sanjay Roy’s involvement in the murder is confirmed.
Meanwhile, within 2 days of the incident, RG Garh Medical College Principal Sandeep Ghosh resigned. He is being interrogated by the CBI officials as per the orders of the Calcutta High Court. He also appeared for the hearing yesterday.
CBI officials asked him, “Why did the parents of the woman doctor, who came to the hospital after hearing the news of her death, wait for more than 3 hours to see their daughter’s body?” It seems that questions like who first informed you about the murder and who ordered maintenance work to be carried out in the rooms near where the body was found were also asked.
70 Padma awardees Doctors letter to PM: Various parties, including doctors, are protesting for justice in the case of the killing of a female practicing doctor in Kolkata.
At this stage, 70 Padma awardee doctors have written to Prime Minister Modi in this regard. The letter signed by medical experts including radiologist Harsh Mahajan, former AIIMS director Randeep Guleria, former ICMR director Balram Bhargava and neurologist MV Padma vastava said:
Prime Minister Modi as the leader of our country should immediately intervene to bring justice in the brutal killing of female doctors. Such a brutal act has shaken the very foundation of medical services. This incident highlights the need to address violence against women, girls and health workers. Central and state governments should immediately enact a separate law to ensure the safety of health workers.
