In today’s T20 World Cup series, Pakistan will face Canada at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. In this match Pakistan team won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Accordingly, the Canadian team, which came into batting, lost successive wickets as usual and saw a collapse. At one end, Aaron Johnson, the opener of the Canadian team, was the only one to stand, scoring 52 runs off 44 balls.
Apart from him, the Canadian team scored only 106 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs because no player in the Canadian team played responsibly. Mohammad Amir and Haris Raf were the maximum wicket takers in the Pakistan team with 2 wickets each.
After that, the Pakistan team came into bat to score a simple target of 107 runs. Accordingly, the opener Saim Ayub was shocked by getting out for 6 runs. After him, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who paired up for the 2nd wicket, played well and brought the team to shore.
Babar Azam scored 33 runs off 33 balls and was dismissed. At the other end, Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 53* off 53 balls to lead the team to victory. As a result, the Pakistan team won the match after passing the target of 107 runs in 17.3 overs.
With this, Pakistan won the match by 7 wickets and registered their first win in this T20 World Cup series.
