President visits India for Modi’s inauguration

64President Ranil Wickremesinghe has left for India this morning to attend the official swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be held today (09) evening.

He has traveled to New Delhi, India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

It is noteworthy that many South Asian leaders including South Asian leaders have been invited to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term in order to make India’s neighborly relations a priority.

It is noteworthy that Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Maldives President Kalanithi Muhammad Muisu, Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Abib, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mauritius Prime Minister Praveen Kumar Jagnath, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Tahal Prasanda and Bhutan Prime Minister Tsering Topke have accepted the invitation to attend the event.
