The Razer model of the long-awaited Tata Altras hatchback will be launched tomorrow (June 7). Tata Motors is about to launch the new Altras Racer model, which is a bit sportier than the existing Altras model, with more power and more amenities.
Tata has given a unique design on the exterior and a race theme design on the interior to show that it is a Racer model. The new Altras Razer model is available in three unique colors – Orange, White and Grey.
We can expect a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, digitized instrument cluster, sunroof with voice command, and front ventilated seats in the new Altras Razer Edition. Tata will place the Altras Racer Edition above the top-end i-Turbo variant of the Altras. Therefore, it seems that this Razor model can also provide safety features that are not available in other models.
Safety features like hill hold assist, electronic stability control, 360 degree camera and 6 airbags are provided in this Tata Altras Razer Edition. Tata Motors is going to release this Razer Edition in three variants namely R1, R2 and R3. Among these, the R3 variant itself will get premium features such as connected car tech and air purifier.
Tata is going to offer a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine that can produce 118hp of power and 170Nm of torque in this Razer edition. This is 10hp more power and 30Nm more torque than the top end variant of the Altras.
Despite all these features, the Altras Racer Edition is expected to be sold only with a manual gearbox option. As Tata places this Razer edition above the top end, it is expected to launch at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh.
