36 trains to northern states cancelled:

In Tamil Nadu, 36 trains from various cities including Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Bengaluru to northern states have been cancelled.

In a press release issued by the Southern Railway, it is said, “Due to the construction of the third railway line in the area under the Secunderabad Railway Division, there has been a change in the train service passing through it. In this, the service of 36 trains going to the northern states from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka under the railway has been completely cancelled.

Details of canceled trains:

Chennai Central Jaipur Twice Weekly Express Train No. 12697, 12698 are completely canceled from 21st June to 7th July.

Also Bagmati Express from Mysore to Jollarpet via Gadbadi Arakkonam to Darbhanga will be canceled on June 25 July 2 and the return route on June 28 July 5.

Similarly, the weekly express train between Tirunelveli Bilaspur will be canceled on June 23, 30 and Marumagam on June 25 and July 2 and Mannargudi to Bhagat Gita express train will be canceled on June 24 and July 1 and in the opposite direction on June 27 and July 4.

Apart from this, the Anuvrath Express between Madurai-Bikanoor Rajasthan will be canceled on June 20, 27 and July 4 and in the opposite direction on June 23, 30 and July 7. Similarly, the Jabalpur-Madurai express train will be canceled on 20th June, 27th July 4th and Rewarkam on 22nd June, 29th July 6th.

Similarly, weekly express trains from Kerala Kochuveli Ernakulam and Karnataka Bangalore Esvantpur to northern states will be canceled from June 20 to July 8.

Rerouting of trains:

Not only are trains being cancelled, but some major trains have also been routed. The Rajdhani Superfast Express from New Delhi to Chennai Central will be diverted via Warangal, Nizamabad, Bimmel, Majri instead of coming via Balarsha on July 3 and 5. Similarly, the Tamil Nadu Express train from Chennai Central to New Delhi will run via Warangal Pedapalli, Nizamabad, Bimmel, Majri on July 2, 3 and 4 instead of passing through Balarshah.
