A new terminal was being built a few years ago to expand the airport. After a long time, all the works were completed and Prime Minister Modi inaugurated it on January 2.
Runway expansion
But as the work of expanding the airstrip was not completed, there was some delay in bringing it to public use. In this case, it was reported that the new terminal will be opened with the current flights.
19 airport terminals
A total of 19 aircraft stands have been set up in the newly constructed airport. At present the old terminal has an area of 11 thousand 700 square meters. But the new terminal is being built on an area of 75 thousand square meters.
60 checkin counters
At present there are 650 passengers to come and go. This is the new terminal which has a huge passenger capacity of 3,480 passengers. Currently, there are only 16 check-in counters in the old airport terminal. But the new terminal has 60 checkin counters.
New airport
All the people of Trichy district are anxious to know when this new airport will be opened. Many people were disappointed as it was not used even after about 6 months of opening. In this case, all the remaining works have been completed and it is grandly ready.
Runway
In this case, it was reported that the new terminal of the airport will be opened only when all the runway works are completed. But the authorities have informed that it will be opened before that with the existing flights.
Expectation
It is expected that it will be available to the public on June 11. Or it seems that it may open on a specific day in the second week. Apart from this, it is expected that this airport will be opened after the inauguration of Modi as the Prime Minister.
