A container lorry with Karnataka registration number was coming towards Chennai on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway. Cholavaram tried to stop the truck by the roadside on the service road in Sembulivaram area.

At that time, the rubber tire of the high tension power cable truck caught fire. While trying to put out the fire in the tyre, the driver fell into the fire and caught fire. Sengunram firemen reached the spot on information and doused the fire by splashing water.

However, the driver died tragically in the fire. After this, the body was recovered and sent to Stanley Government Hospital for post-mortem. The Cholavaram police have registered a case regarding the incident and are investigating the details of the deceased driver.
