Volvo EX90 Electric Car: What’s Special?
Volvo has built this car on the company’s newly developed next-generation electric car platform. Also, Volvo has designed it as a car that has Volvo’s latest technological safety features. Also, the company has said that this is the safest car they have made so far.
Volvo EX90: Design and Features
The new EX90 electric car shares the same modern design language that Volvo has used in other recent cars. At the front, the EX90 features Thor’s hammer-like headlamps, a planked-off grille like the XC40 Recharge, flush-fitting door handles, 22-inch alloy wheels, and C-shaped split LED tail lights.
The interior gets a 14.5-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system with 5G connectivity for OTA updates. Volvo has said that it will provide software updates on this electric car from time to time according to the needs. 5G facility is also provided for that purpose.
Volvo EX90: Powertrain, Battery and Range
Volvo has given the EX90 electric car a choice of dual motor and all wheel drive. Also, the EX90 has a range of 600 km on a single charge. The dual motor setup provided here is capable of delivering two power and torque levels.
The base model is capable of producing 408hp of power and 770Nm of torque, while the top-end model is capable of producing 517hp of power and 910Nm of torque. Both models have a top speed of 180 kmph.
Volvo EX90: Price and India Launch
Volvo will launch the EX90 model in the US soon. We can expect the launch of this car in India in the first half of next year. The launch of the Volvo EX90 electric car is expected to be between Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore.
Currently, Volvo is selling two electric car models in India namely XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge, SUV models XC40, XC60 and XC90 and S90 saloon model.
