Actress Poornima was one of the most popular actresses of the 1980s. She made her debut as Madhavi in the 1981 film Nenchil Oru Mul.

But I said that I will not wear any swimming suit, so they shot the scene by wearing a swimming suit for Shivakumar. Until now, when Sivakumar sees me, he would laugh and say that because you didn’t wear that dress then, they asked me to wear it and the shooting was done,” Poornima had said.
And when Ambika says about this, when we commit to the film, we will commit only after asking if there are such swimsuit scenes. Because after the shooting starts, if we say that we will not act in swimsuits, they will remove us from the film saying that the character should be a dummy for the swimsuit, says Ambika.
Actress Poornima says that after some of these films, she has not worn a swimsuit and has not slept for two or three days.
